Course Description
This course was designed to assist nurses and medical professionals interested in becoming a Legal Nurse Practitioner (LNP) to understand the role and job duties of the LNP.
The Legal Nurse Practitioner should be familiar with nursing and nursing standards. Nursing is the profession or practice of providing care for the sick. Standards of care in nursing are guidelines that provide a foundation as to how a nurse should act, and what they should and should not do in their professional capacity. That knowledge along with the Legal Nurse Practitioner’s extensive education, analytical skills, and clinical experience is the necessary talents associated with becoming a Legal Nurse Practitioner.
This highly interactive session will provide life-empowering information, strategy, and skills necessary for aspiring Legal Nurse Practitioners. Healthcare education and training improve job performance, job readiness, and staff development.

Course 1: Overview of the Legal Nurse Practitioner
Course 2: Organizing and Assessing Medical Records
Course 3: Mastering the Chronology
Course 4: Writing the Report
METHOD OF EVALUATION: Comprehensive test
CERTIFICATE OF COMPLETION CRITERIA: State of California Nursing CE
Provider. Participants must attend the entire course and submit a completed evaluation to receive a certificate. Certificates will be emailed after the survey has been received.

Cancellation policy:
There is a $100.00 cancellation fee. All requests for cancellation must be submitted in writing 7 days prior to the commencement of the program. Substitutes are permitted as long as the Institute is notified at least 3 days prior to the training date.
