• This program is a Live webinar with an in person option at the Beacon Institute.

Course Description: The PAC-DON course is the ONLY comprehensive training program that equips students with the tools and resources to succeed as a Director of Nurses in a Post-Acute Care environment.
The program offers tools and resources for survey preparedness, morning clinical meetings, QAPI, staffing strategies, reimbursement strategies to name a few.
Who should attend: Any RN with at least 1 year experience as a nurse in post-acute care aspiring for a director of nursing role, Directors of Nurses(DON’s), Assistant Directors of Nurses (ADON’s), Unit Managers, Nursing Supervisors, MDS Coordinators, Staff Educators/Infection Preventionist.
Cancellation policy: There is a $50.00 cancellation fee. All requests for cancellation must be submitted in writing 7 days prior to the commencement of the program. Exceptions: Regulatory activity at the facility. Substitutes are permitted as long as the Institute is notified at least 3 days prior to the training date.

CEU’S: RN attendees who complete the PAC DON course and evaluation requirements are eligible to receive up to 15 CEU’s good for 2 years. (CEUs)are awarded by the New York University(NYU) Rory Meyers College of Nursing Center for Continuing Education. The NYU Rory Meyers College of Nursing’s Center for Continuing Education is accredited as a provider of continuing nursing education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation (ANCC). CEU’s are not offered if you challenge the examination and get certified.

Certification as a PAC-DON: To be certified as a PAC-DON, you must register and take the certification examination and pass with a score of 80% or greater. Note: You have the option of challenging the test without taking the course. www.theinspac.com

Instructor: Nadine Grant MSN,RN, BHCA, LNHA, ICP-BC, PAC-DON
Nadine GrantNadine Grant is a registered nurse with 42 years of experience in nursing and 26 years in the post-acute sector. Nadine possesses a bachelor’s degree in health care administration and a master’s degree in nursing. Nadine’s experience includes; Chief Nursing Officer, Chief Operating Officer, Director of Nursing, Director of Clinical reimbursement to name a few. She is a licensed nursing home administrator, and a board-certified infection preventionist. Nadine was president for the Hawaii Association of Directors of Nursing Administration (HADONA) from 2007 – 2014. Additionally, Nadine authored the only Hawaii state approved feeding assistant program and was one of two statewide trainers for the INTERACT II initiative. She’s served on multiple advisory boards including Gojo industries. Currently, she’s a content reviewer for Wolter Kluwer Health and has been chosen eight times to serve on the review panels for the National Council of State Boards of Nursing to review and rewrite the NCLEX exams.
